The Information Security DLP team at Freddie Mac has an exciting opportunity for someone who is interested in bringing their passion and relevant background and joining a team of individuals supporting the mission of protecting Freddie Mac data.
This position can be performed from a remote location in the U.S.
Our team is responsible for:
Continuously increasing DLP coverage across the organization
Maintaining an effective end-to-end process from ingesting requests from across the organization to ensuring detections get routed to the Cyber Security monitoring/response processes
Defining, documenting, and executing internal processes and controls to support the DLP Program
Defining metrics and supporting reporting needs across the organization
Addressing risks and open issues that apply to our process
Define new and enhance existing Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies/rules in DLP tools to continuously increase DLP Program coverage via multiple detection technologies in accordance with established process
Enhance existing relationship with the lines of businesses to further strengthen reach of the DLP Program within the organization
Provide creative solutions to support the maintenance of an effective DLP Program (from process and technology standpoints) in the face of changing environments
Build, develop, and maintain relationships with internal and external partners and vendors to formulate DLP solutions for Freddie Mac
Support the DLP team in further expanding upon the established DLP Program by defining additional processes / controls for continuous risk reduction purposes and to meet the objectives detailed in the DLP Charter
Define metrics to measure effectiveness and efficiency of the Program and support reporting needs across the organization
Support DLP team members in daily operations and provide guidance when required
Partner with required stakeholders to remediate DLP design, process, and technology gaps
Engage with risk functions across the organization and Internal Audit to represent and support the DLP team when required
8+ years of Data Loss Prevention and/or Information Security experience
DLP policy/rule configuration experience in on prem and cloud technology
Ability to independently research and provide solutions to support new processes and technology
Strong written and verbal communication skills with management, business, and technical/engineering resources
Must be able to present structured and ad hoc presentations to various audiences (business, technical and management)
Experience working with Splunk
Ability to adapt, work in and thrive in a frequently changing environment
Excellent teaming skills
Experience in leading and providing guidance to personnel
