Our client is a mid-sized vendor of software sold to Telecoms Service Providers globally. The client is looking for a presales consultant to support the sales efforts related to my client's new digital cloud-based OSS/BSS stack.
The role can be based anywhere in Europe near an airport.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical leadership to the region based on deep knowledge on the telco industry, product offerings, competition, business drivers, and solutioning.
Roles and Responsibilities• Presales consultant with experience in managing medium to large size customer bids & RFPs• Well versed with bid process and standards, capable of creating winning bids and proposals• Deep Telco domain understanding focused on BSS/OSS.• Well versed with the latest trends of Digital Telco Transformation, 5G & IoT, Cloud-basedofferings, SaaS & PaaS models/solutions.• Technical proposals and compliance, ability to drive customer workshops/presentations and Product Demos.• Prepare costing, financial plans and run end to end bids including stakeholders review management.• Close coordination and working with global sales teams across different regions to ensure that all opportunities are timely executed based on the process defined.• Work closely with product teams to ensure all compliances and solutions are reviewed including estimates.• Work with delivery teams to agree on the Proposal/RFX delivery phases, milestones, and estimates.• Define End-to-End Business and functional solutions to support Telecom and Digital products and services.• Translate solution requirements to individual Product requirements.• Continuous customer engagement in the Pre-Sales and the Post Sales processes.• Prepare and review external/internal presentations, flows, solutions, and other necessary documentation that may be requested at various times by different stakeholders.• Convert business needs into clear technical specifications and define a clear scope of deliverables from different entities to meet the business requirement.• Interact with the technical team and provide necessary support to understand the requirement throughout the solution delivery lifecycle.• Work with different geographical teams to architect solutions for different customers.• Stay up to date with the Tools and Technologies relevant to this domain• Think out of the box and come with creative solutions, maximizing the available resources and minimizing the impact on the environment.• Influence decisions and requirements from all involved entities to meet the business requirement in the most optimal and flexible manner.• Work in an international environment with stakeholders from multiple ethnicities.• Should be capable manage a team of resources working on similar functions, guide them appropriately and track/manage all the deliverables.
Skills and Attributes• Work experience in Cloud, SAAS, Digital Transformation programs/projects.• Extensive experience in driving End-to-End Bids and RFPs for different regions and customers.Must have excellent customer interaction and management skills.• Knowledge of Telco BSS/OSS domain focused on CRM, Billing, Charging, Product Catalogue, Order Management, Mediation, Provisioning, VAS & SDP Solutions, CVM solution API Gateway, and digital commerce solutions• Knowledge of eCommerce, Mobile Wallet, Loyalty, Web Technologies.• Experience in customer-facing roles focusing on Presales and Solution consulting activities• Self-learners who can manage Customer engagement/Business Consulting and Pre-Sales• Proficiency in tools and Processes. Good and effective Oral and written communication skills• Should have excellent analytical, competitor analysis, documentation, and presentation skill.• Excellent time management and organizational skills.• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.• Should possess excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, customer engagement,analytical, documentation, and time management skills.• Should be a team player, flexible with willingness to shoulder increasing levels of responsibility.• Ability to work on aggressive timelines.• Open to international travel on short/long term basis.• Experience in Pre-Sales, Big Management, handling RFX and in Telecom BSS/OSS Domain.
