Our client is small but growing vendor of RAN location based services (LBS) solutions which are sold to Mobile Service Providers (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G) and security agencies.

The client is going through a strong period of growth and have won some really substantial deals recently and are gearing up for growth and have some new propositions in the pipeline. As such they are looking for a technically competent presales manager (to start with a sole contributor role). The client is looking for someone that understands Mobile Network architecture and has an eye for detail in terms of responding to RFQ's / RFI's.

The successful candidate will understand the network architecture of the Radio Access Network (RAN) and Core Network – and understand the complexities of integration projects. This will enable them to configure our solutions within the parameters of a customer

installation. The ideal person would therefore come from a solutions architecture or product manager background moving into technical sales / presales / sales engineering. The candidate must be comfortable exploring and documenting end user requirements and have technical architectural knowledge of software solutions.

Requirements are:

- Able to identify business value as part of pre-sales engagement is important rather thanjust selling functionality.

- Experience in building and owning customer technical relationships and positioning their company as a trusted advisor within their specific technical domain.

- Experience and skill in interpreting RFP documentation and have the capability to construct questions to help potential customers understand that their true requirements are in line with our technical offerings.

- Structured and organised

- Used to dealing with Mobile Network Operators

- Excellent presentation skills - comfortable dealing with clients, explaining technology

solutions, white board descriptions, formal presentations, negotiating changes etc.

- Experienced in working and managing technical team members in order to secure their input to documentation, when these technical staff do not report to them.

- Experienced in a transversal role, where they need to keep up their technical knowledge whilst operating in a sales/marketing led environment.

- Good ability to capture requirements and write documentation

- Comfortable getting hands dirty at times

- Able to travel for presales meetings and to coordinate and participate in deployments abroad

with periods onsite (no more than 25% of their time)

Foreign languages a plus – especially Spanish, Arabic, Portuguese, Mandarin

The client is based in Kingston Upon Thames and the requirement would be for someone that could be there probably a min of 3 days a week when not travelling.
