Stefanini is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Architect in Richmond, VA/Remote

Responsibilities:Engages with key stakeholders, industry experts, and technical peers to understand technology and business requirements, industry trends and the broader FRS architecture landscape. Using this information, develops and maintains the technical architecture direction and roadmap for infrastructure solutions across traditional and cloud environments. Oversees and directs architectural discussions for both a technical and management audience. Maintains a strong understanding of the current technical landscape and proactively leads the analysis of the current technology environment to detect deficiencies, gaps, and opportunities. Works with leadership to prioritize, initiate and implement technology efforts aimed at addressing these opportunities. Provides oversight on the architecture and design of systems comprised of multiple solutions and services across multiple lines of business Leads software and hardware installations, specification, testing and service transition. Acts as a coach and mentor for technical resources across the FRS. Ensures technical team is practicing and adopting best practices around software engineering, infrastructure engineering and release and change processes. Actively contributes to a culture of knowledge sharing through informal (i.e., mentoring less experienced team members) and formal channels (i.e., presentations, communities of practice, etc.) Recommends technology investments based on a strong understanding of industry trends and business needs.Develops safe and effective approaches to adopt or migrate to these technologies. Leverages strong software engineering skills to lead automation efforts across the area. Drives improvements on key infrastructure KPIs through these efforts. Works with other technology leaders to develop, implement and govern technology standards Influences and communicates with all levels of the FRS on business, information, and complex technical subjects and roadmaps. Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:The Senior Infrastructure Architect is a subject matter expert position that requires capabilities, experiences and skills within a complex IT organization. The Architect will work with architects, product owners and customers across the System to develop an integrated view of needs, elements and timelines needed to enhance infrastructure capabilities across a hybrid cloud environment. The Architect will lead efforts to ensure that infrastructure capabilities provide the resilience, agility, and durability that the business requires. Architect's drive technical performance for major programs and System-wide initiatives. Decisions made by Architect's have significant impact on day-to-day operations within their area of expertise. Ten (10) years of experience across multiple technical domains and architectures. Successful applicants should have deep hands-on experience within a specific technology domain such as storage, compute, or networking. They should have strong experience and knowledge in at least 2 other technical areas: Storage, operating systems, networking, security, or middleware. Three (3) to five (5) years of experience of architecture or engineering leadership. Seven (7) to ten (10) years of progressive leadership experience with responsibility for leading highly technical staff and cross-functional or matrixed teams within large, complex mission-critical systems or the equivalent. Successful candidates will have experience with modern software development practices, modern software architectures and infrastructure automation.Candidates should have direct experience with some or all of the following technologies: Cloud Computing (AWS, Azure), AIX, Linux, VMWare, Windows, Container products (e.g. Docker, Docker Swarm, OpenShift), Hitachi/EMC storage, Commvault/Backup technologies, and Cisco networking. Experience working at the enterprise level and developing and implementing enterprise strategies and architectures in complex federated environments. Proven track record of driving business performance through the successful implementation of innovative technical solutions Ability to operate at multiple levels of technical detail from the architecture blueprint level to the discrete implementation level. Excellent communication skills with the ability to elicit confidence from technical and executive audiences. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience/Master's Degree may be preferred Cloud certifications or industry certifications like The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) are considered to be a plus.
