UX /UI Design Engineer - Remote Perm

We are currently looking on behalf of our Global client, a leading provider of telecom software, for a UX/UI Design Lead for remote work in the UK.
Job Summary
We are looking for a UX/ UI design lead to create state of the art user interfaces for desktop and web based application to maximise the usability of theapplication and enhance the user experience.
Responsibilities

Essential skills (all required)

Degree or equivalent in Human Computer Interaction or related disciplines
7+ years of commercial experience
Including 3+ years leading designs independently
Understanding of User Centered design principles and UI development cycles
Prototyping Skills
Experience of working with Zeplin and Figma would be desirable
Awareness of current trends in UI design and interactive design
Strong graphics production capability
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences




Requirements

Working closely in conjunction with the development team and internal stakeholdersto build proof-of-concept mock ups, demos and prototypes of proposed and planned applications and features.
Designing the interfaces for applications.
Collaborate in the definition of user interface design standards for applications to optimise ease-of-use and achieve an integrated and consistent look and feel.
Doing stakeholder research to understand client needs
Contributing to competitive analysis of competitor products
Writing clear specifications and guidelines
Developing mockups and wireframes for development and design teams
Coordinating with UI Design team on issues like navigation, page routing, product page design and more
Analysing issues and problem-solving
Tracking usability goals and preparing reports for senior management
Running user tests
Looking for ways to improve the product
